Tengour and Hadouchi will discuss Maghrebian roots of surrealism as a revolutionary means of disengagement, as a form of subversion of the language of power and a passionate pursuit of the practice of poetry, and the formation of histories and memory in relation to the Algerian context. \n\nLe Surr\u00e9alisme Maghr\u00e9bin [FR]\n\nHabib Tengour (po\u00e8te et sociologue, Mostaganem et Paris) et Olivier Hadouchi (historien du cin\u00e9ma, Paris) s'appuient sur le manifeste surr\u00e9aliste de Tengour, qui montre avec subtilit\u00e9 que le surr\u00e9alisme - un mouvement consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme \u00e9tant d\u2019origine fran\u00e7aise - est en fait une variante europ\u00e9enne r\u00e9cente d\u00e9rivant de traditions et pratiques maghr\u00e9bines beaucoup plus anciennes.
