\nAs a youth Emily dream of playing for her home country, Canada representing them on the big stage. That dream led her to the University of Utah and to recently playing overseas in the Czech Republic.
\n
\n
\n
\nIn the midst of the achievements, Emily faced movements that had her questioning if she still loved the game of basketball. Battling injuries and losing a close friend to suicide; Emily Potter started to look into her own mental health. This part of her story led to wanting to make sure others do no feel alone on their journey to know it is okay not to be okay. Reduce the stigma around mental health. To continue her mission she even began a non-profit in remembrance of her friend Sarah called Sarah Strong
