\nI'm going to give away the plot on this one and take a potentially controversial stance at the same time. When it comes to selling games, the community is not what you should be focusing on.
\nBuilding a loosely defined community for the sake of community building is a waste of time.
\nCommunity is not the end goal, revenue and profit is. Building a community is a means, not the end.
\nGame store owners should stop trying to run a charity and instead focus on creating a valuable experience that customers enjoy. As much as your community loves low prices, low prices also means low perceived value.
\nIf you want a community of loyal customers that are happy to spend money with your business, charge what you're worth and offer value instead of competing on price.
