Since 2006, he has played with various&nbsp;<a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minor_league_baseball\">minor league baseball</a>&nbsp;teams including the&nbsp;<a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahoning_Valley_Scrappers\">Mahoning Valley Scrappers</a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_County_Captains\">Lake County Captains</a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinston_Indians\">Kinston Indians</a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_Bisons\">Buffalo Bisons</a>, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbus_Clippers\">Columbus Clippers</a>.<br />\n<br />\n<br />\n<br />\nAt Columbus, Tomlin went 8\u20134 with a 2.68 ERA in 20 appearances, including 17 starts. He has an overall minor-league record of 51\u201324 with a 3.20 ERA.<br />\n<br />\n<br />\n<br />\nTomlin was promoted to the Indians to make his major league debut against the&nbsp;<a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_Yankees\">New York Yankees</a>&nbsp;on July 27, 2010,<a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Tomlin#cite_note-6\">[6]</a>&nbsp;where he outpitched the Yankees&#8217;&nbsp;<a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CC_Sabathia\">CC Sabathia</a>, earning a 4\u20131 win. In 12 starts for the Indians, Tomlin went 6-4 with a 4.56 ERA in 73 innings.
