It seemed as though everyone and their mother had joined or started a company that received hundreds of millions of dollars in funding.\u00a0 There were teenage kids in Lamborghini\u2019s (seriously).\u00a0<br />\r\n<br />\r\nThose days seem like a distant past now.\u00a0 We may have had success in the past few years.\u00a0 Shit, I felt like I was doing alright in my five years since graduating college.\u00a0<br />\r\n<br />\r\nBut now is not the time to get complacent.\u00a0 <br />\r\n<br />\r\nUniversity of Alabama football coach Nick Saban says of complacency:\u00a0<br />\r\n\u201cComplacency creates a blatant disregard for doing what\u2019s right. You can\u2019t do what you feel like doing. You got to choose to do the things that are going to help you accomplish the goals you have. When you get complacent, you lose respect for winning.\u201d<br />\r\nSo if we\u2019re not complacent, what are we right now?\u00a0<br />\r\n<br />\r\nWe\u2019re strong.\u00a0 We\u2019re focused. We\u2019re grinding.\u00a0 We\u2019re creative. We\u2019re scrappy.\u00a0\u00a0<br />\r\n<br />\r\nNow is the time to spend Sunday morning working on that side project.\u00a0 It\u2019s the time to call up your customer just to ask how they\u2019re doing.
