In 2019, Martin led the Duhawks to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.\n\nPrior to to his arrival at Loras, Martin was an assistant at Elmhurst College, his alma mater, for 5 seasons where for the first time in Elmhurst history, the Bluejays qualified for the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back seasons. \n\nAs a student-athlete, Martin was an elite player for the Bluejays, closing out his collegiate career as a two-time D3hoops.com All-American. He was the first player in Elmhurst history to earn three CCIW All-Conference First Team honors. Martin finished his Bluejay career with 1,736 points, a mark which ranks second in school history.\n\nAfter graduating from Elmhurst in 2005 with bachelor\u2019s degrees in business administration and management, Martin spent three seasons playing professional basketball in Luxembourg and Germany.
