He understands that in order to help students achieve academic success, they must be\n\nempowered and taught how to advocate for themselves. He is currently an Assistant Principal in Richland County, where he serves a 7th Grade class of almost 300 hundred students at his school. In 2016, his colleagues voted him Fairfield Middle School Teacher of the Year, leading to him receiving the honor of being a Palmetto State Teachers\u2019Association\u2019s \u201cStrategies for Teacher Advancement and Renewal (S.T.A.R.) Teacher\u201d and he was also recognized and voted by the students as the \u201cBest Middle School Social Studies Teacher\u201d in the 2nd Annual Celebration of Education (C.O.E.)
