At 16 years old, she was diagnosed with seasonal depression. As she got older, it turned into clinical depression and anxiety. These disorders would lead Meghan down paths of self-destruction for years; however, she credits them with being the creative breeding ground for her writing. \u201cEvery person fights a daily war within themselves. It\u2019s how we choose to fight the war that matters,\u201d she says. She has fought her disorders through writing and since 2010, has been regularly posting material on her poetry blog, \u201cLife As We Know It\u201d.\r\n\u201cMy hope is that readers, especially those trapped in a toxic relationship, will take\u00a0AS TOLD\u00a0BY US \u00a0to heart and realize that life is about going through hell and back.
