The people made a selection about those who were of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit (you can always tell) and wisdom. This means that the candidates had to be known. They were all part of the fellowship. It was not a stranger. And all seven dudes had Greek names.\n\n2) Stephan got an extra prop; He was also full of faith! That\u2019s cool but notice the progression. The Apostles gave the instructions, the people made choices, and the Apostles gave the blessings. While the prayer included everyone, the Apostles were in the lead. And they laid their hands on the inductees. What\u2019s that all about? The same thing happened in the Gospels and with Moses, conferment and commission.\n\n3) So, what was the actual result of the problem being solved? It generated a greater unity in the church, which yielded a greater harvest. So, the agreement created an expansion of the kingdom. Gee, I wonder if this is something that God knew about? Unity translates into kingdom advancement. Who would have thunk it? Jesus did when He said, \u201cPeople will know by your love for one another.\u201d Let\u2019s witness through our harmony.
