We’ll be returning in June with Season 3 and until then, I'm sharing with you a few gems from the vault to carry you over the bridge between season 2 and 3.

Today's topic is one of my favorite rants. It’s about getting up the courage to email your list.

Have you started your email list but aren’t quite sure what to say or feel afraid that someone will get mad at you for emailing them? Those are two of the most common fears I hear about email marketing.

In this episode, I give you some practical tips for getting over that fear, but before we dive in I quickly want to touch on the flip side of this fear for a minute.

If you’re one of those people that just emails “willy-nilly” to folks who haven't really consented to hear from you about your business or whatever it is you're emailing about—please stop that.

I've had a few different people lately assume that because we've had interactions around business, it was cool to just add me to a giant blind carbon copy list in their g-mail and send messages about their launch or book or whatever. And it's not that I wouldn't necessarily want to hear about that stuff, but I want to consent.

So here’s the thing, if you're going to have an email list, have an email list and go get a service. I recommend ActiveCampaign, but you can use whatever you like. The key here is that using an email service provider will allow people to consensually opt-in to your email marketing. Then, you don't have to be afraid to send people your emails because they actually asked for them.

Like I said, this is one of my favorite rants. You can look at it from multiple perspectives and I hope it gives you the courage to email your list. Let's get into the episode.
