There is no bright line. For me, the difference is in the attitude. If I live in the universe of entitlement, then that moves into the self-indulgence category. If I am caring for my physical and spiritual self so I can serve, it is self-care. \n\nAnother way to think of this is about why you take actions. One reason is to develop capacity. This is the ability to do more. If I am learning or growing in capacity then I can serve more and add more good to the world. Another marker for me is the choice element. If I am choosing to love and serve rather than play and indulge, then I expand and ultimately feel better.
