Depending on what has happened to us along the way, making mistakes can make us feel like not only did we do something wrong, but that WE ourselves are wrong. Like we screwed up and are now somehow worth less because of it.

Today on The Karen Kenney Show, we’re talking about shifting our perspective on making mistakes, embracing them and learning from them what we can do better the next time around.

We all make mistakes and in my opinion each one can be a valuable lesson. They can be a way for us to learn what works for us, what it is we really like or don’t like, where we have strengths and weaknesses, where we need to draw the line and what boundaries we aren’t willing to have crossed.

The key is to recognize the pattern of making the same one again and to stop ourselves from running in this loop or casting shame.

Mistakes are part of the human experience – and our humanity is part of what makes us beautiful and brilliant.

So I say, go live, be yourself and make mistakes, and then learn from them shame free… embrace the lessons they might bring and keep moving forward with curiosity and the new insights and knowledge you’ve gained!
