He arrived at USA Basketball with 16 years of experience in boys and girls basketball and a master\u2019s degree in sport leadership from Northeastern University.\n\nAs the youth and sport development division director, Demings oversees all facets of the department, including the development of youth basketball initiatives that address player development, coach education and safety in sport.\n\nPrior to arriving at USA Basketball, Demings served as the director of operations for the Boston Amateur Basketball Club in Boston, Massachusetts, where he oversaw all aspects of the non-profit basketball program. During his tenure, BABC won five national tournament titles as well as the 2012 Victor Rho International Basketball Tournament in Milan, Italy, at the U16 age group. He also organized and directed many youth basketball tournaments.\n\nFrom May of 2011 through August 2012, Demings was a sport director at Boys and Girls Clubs of America in Warwick, Rhode Island, and he spent the 2009-10 NBA season with the Boston Celtics as a media and public relations assistant.\n\nAt Providence Country Day School in East Providence, Rhode Island, from 2003-2008, Demings served as an assistant athletic director and the varsity girls basketball coach for five seasons.\n\nDemings got his start in high school basketball as founder, president and coach of Rhode Island Premier Basketball from 1998-2009, a nonprofit youth program for boys and girls ages 9-18.\n\nAfter you\u2019re done enjoying this episode please leave us a 5 star rating and review on iTunes and make sure you\u2019re subscribed so you never miss an episode.
