If you don\u2019t know what Donate Life means or the impact San Antonio has nationwide in the transplant world, take the time to check it out!\nJennifer Milton is a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Chief Administrative Officer at the\u00a0University Health Transplant Institute, where she is charged to integrate the business, operational, quality, and strategic efforts for University of Texas Health San Antonio and the University Health System.\nUniversity Health Transplant Institute performs adult and pediatric liver, kidney and lung transplant and is the home of the Center for Life, a facility dedicated to the care of tissue and organ donors. The Center for Life is proud to partner with the South Texas Blood and Tissue, San Antonio Eye Bank and Texas Organ Sharing Alliance, a partnership that has impacted\u00a0 over 70,000 recipients of organ, tissue and corneas since its opening in just 2020.\nJennifer entered the field of transplantation almost thirty years ago as an organ donation nurse\u00a0 coordinator in South Carolina and refers to her very first experiences with donor families as her\u00a0 continued source of passion for this field. Jennifer has volunteered on numerous local and\u00a0 national nonprofit boards including Past Chair of the UNOS Policy Oversight Committee, Texas Kidney Foundation and she serves as the current Chair of Donate Life America which recently\u00a0 launched the National Living Donor Registry. She serves as a Primary Investigator for several\u00a0 research endeavors, has published and presented extensively on issues impacting the field of\u00a0 donation and transplantation.
