Allison shares her powerful story of awakening — one that weaves together trauma, mental health, and divine reconnection. She opens up about her diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder, her near-death experience, and how a message from the Divine guided her to choose life and healing.
Together, Amy and Allison explore the intersection of psychology, spirituality, and energy work — discovering how mindfulness, Reiki, compassion, and self-awareness can help us reconnect with our truest essence: the Divine within.
Listeners will gain insight into Allison’s healing framework, her trauma-informed approach to energy work, and the practices that can help anyone cultivate peace, love, and presence.

hi friends welcome to today's episode
Speaker:
I am really happy to invite on my dear friend
Speaker:
Allison Batty-Capps and today
Speaker:
we're going to be talking about her spiritual journey
Speaker:
and awakening and her wonderful new book
Speaker:
welcome to the podcast Allison
Speaker:
thank you so much Amy
Speaker:
it's such an honor and a privilege to be here
Speaker:
and I'm just so grateful for this opportunity
Speaker:
oh likewise
Speaker:
I am just feeling all the energy come in of spirit
Speaker:
since hitting record and starting our call
Speaker:
I can feel all this loving energy around
Speaker:
and I'm just inviting our listeners to take a moment
Speaker:
to pause and be with themselves
Speaker:
to feel this connection to the divine Within
Speaker:
which is the title of Alison's book
Speaker:
and know that you are supported
Speaker:
guided and loved
Speaker:
and Alison as we get started
Speaker:
can you share with everybody
Speaker:
your definition of the divine
Speaker:
well I think the divine is deeply personal
Speaker:
and
Speaker:
I think it means different things for different people
Speaker:
and so one of the things that I explore in my book
Speaker:
is the idea of finding language that resonates for you
Speaker:
but that the divine is essentially
Speaker:
you know you're connected with it
Speaker:
when you feel a sense of being loved and loving
Speaker:
you feel calm and open and expansive in your body
Speaker:
when there's a sense of grounding and safety
Speaker:
and security and there's a sense of peace and um
Speaker:
you know
Speaker:
the divine within has many different names uh
Speaker:
across cultures
Speaker:
and one of the things that I explore in my book is
Speaker:
it reveals itself uniquely to each individual
Speaker:
depending on the the needs of that soul's evolution
Speaker:
and so I love that you started with just
Speaker:
acknowledging what you felt
Speaker:
and encouraging listeners to feel that for themselves
Speaker:
because that really is my goal with this book
Speaker:
is to help others feel their unique connection to um
Speaker:
the divine within love
Speaker:
essentially is what the divine within is
Speaker:
yes and I feel that
Speaker:
and I feel like you have a wonderful calming
Speaker:
thank you
Speaker:
I immediately feel peace come through
Speaker:
and so I just want to thank you for
Speaker:
for sharing that energy with me and our listeners today
Speaker:
as we go throughout our conversation
Speaker:
and so that leads me to your book
Speaker:
where you were sharing about your experiences
Speaker:
and those moments that weren't necessarily so peaceful
Speaker:
and so I would love if you could share with us
Speaker:
how some of these significant moments shaped your life
Speaker:
and the work that came through in your book
Speaker:
and you can go back as far as you you would like
Speaker:
where do you feel this all starts for you
Speaker:
well it really started in childhood
Speaker:
I was deeply connected to the spirit world as a child
Speaker:
and in fact I was raised Catholic
Speaker:
and I wanted to be a priest when I was a little girl
Speaker:
and of course in the Catholic Church
Speaker:
women are not allowed to be direct conduits to god
Speaker:
and that always felt off to me
Speaker:
something about that just didn't feel right
Speaker:
but yet being such an impressionable little girl
Speaker:
um
Speaker:
it LED me to disconnect to my own connection to spirit
Speaker:
and so as a young child I had imaginary friends
Speaker:
there were beings of light
Speaker:
that used to surround me and guide me
Speaker:
I used to be able to see auras and um
Speaker:
I remember asking my parents uh
Speaker:
these are the things that I'm experiencing
Speaker:
can you help me understand what this is
Speaker:
and they told me it's your imagination
Speaker:
it's not real
Speaker:
and I remember being so afraid that I shut those down
Speaker:
um you know and
Speaker:
and I think many of us are deeply connected
Speaker:
to the spirit world when we are children
Speaker:
and I think that is our innate um
Speaker:
that's our innate born instinct
Speaker:
but because of the way society is structured
Speaker:
we begin to disconnect from that one by one
Speaker:
and step by step and I kind of explore that in my book
Speaker:
how these are the natural traits that we're born with
Speaker:
innately but we begin to separate from them
Speaker:
based on the experiences
Speaker:
that we have with the external world
Speaker:
so in 2,008 um
Speaker:
my life was kind of in chaos
Speaker:
I had been married to my high school sweetheart
Speaker:
we were in the process of separating
Speaker:
I had recognized some patterns within myself
Speaker:
that were unhealthy that I wanted to break
Speaker:
and I decided to go
Speaker:
I had been a professional actor for 20 years
Speaker:
and I decided to go to a psychic school
Speaker:
to learn how to do energy healing
Speaker:
and this to me
Speaker:
felt like a reconnection with my true self
Speaker:
and in my first meditation class
Speaker:
I had this profound experience where I was meditating
Speaker:
and I just felt filled with something so peaceful
Speaker:
and so loving and I remember being
Speaker:
I'm gonna cry as I recall this
Speaker:
I remember being so held and
Speaker:
and so loved and that they gave me a glimpse
Speaker:
of seeing the world through their eyes
Speaker:
and so I began to see how loved
Speaker:
how much I loved everything in creation
Speaker:
based on being able to experience my essence
Speaker:
through this essence and then immediately
Speaker:
the teacher told us to ground
Speaker:
and they told us to connect to the earth
Speaker:
and I remember being filled with fear
Speaker:
because to me in my Catholic upbringing
Speaker:
the earth represented hell
Speaker:
it represented a place of suffering
Speaker:
it represented a place of fear
Speaker:
it represented a place that our innate instinct
Speaker:
is sinful and this was the first experience
Speaker:
where I had this dichotomy
Speaker:
of the beauty of the divine
Speaker:
and also the shadow aspect
Speaker:
of what we have created here in this plane
Speaker:
to help us grow and um
Speaker:
I began to have all of these mystical experiences uh
Speaker:
where the ascended Masters essentially
Speaker:
were sharing with me their teachings
Speaker:
and their life journeys through merging with me
Speaker:
and blending their energy with me
Speaker:
and then I would see visions of their life
Speaker:
and it would feel like I had lived that life
Speaker:
it was really profound but then
Speaker:
I also had my childhood trauma coming to the surface
Speaker:
and I could see and sense the energies
Speaker:
that exist in this plane that are unhealed
Speaker:
and I didn't have the tools at the time
Speaker:
to have that discernment or to ground myself
Speaker:
or to clear energy or to protect my essence
Speaker:
and so it just kind of became a state of chaos
Speaker:
that I had to eventually learn how to unpack
Speaker:
wow that sounds like a lot to experience
Speaker:
without a framework or a friend or a mentor that could
Speaker:
haha you know
Speaker:
I'm hearing in my head diagnosed
Speaker:
Ja Ja
Speaker:
but to accurately potentially
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
and with the experiences and understand them deeply
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
you know
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
and of course
Speaker:
I'm speaking to the next phases of what happens in
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
to another significant moment
Speaker:
well diagnose is the perfect word right
Speaker:
I think so often um
Speaker:
there's a belief system in western society
Speaker:
that spirituality is somehow not real
Speaker:
and that when we're having these mystical experiences
Speaker:
they are hallucinations or they are delusions
Speaker:
and from a perspective of my lived experience
Speaker:
I do have a diagnosis of schizo effective disorder
Speaker:
which is a combination of a mood disorder
Speaker:
and schizophrenia
Speaker:
and I do have a diagnosis of complex PTSD
Speaker:
because I do have a complex trauma history
Speaker:
so
Speaker:
the experiences that I had certainly did meet criteria
Speaker:
and I do talk about this in my book that um
Speaker:
I was disorganized
Speaker:
I was struggling to communicate what I was experiencing
Speaker:
and so from that framework yeah
Speaker:
I met criteria for a diagnosis
Speaker:
in the western medical lens
Speaker:
however there was a mystical nature to this
Speaker:
and there was a trauma nature to this
Speaker:
that I was being told wasn't real
Speaker:
that it wasn't true that I had a trauma history
Speaker:
that that was part of my delusions
Speaker:
and that it isn't true
Speaker:
that people can have psychic or mystical experiences
Speaker:
so I began to fear my own experiences
Speaker:
and
Speaker:
that LED me to enter a really dark night of the soul
Speaker:
where um
Speaker:
I kept being retraumatized because of these experiences
Speaker:
and I was hospitalized and
Speaker:
I actually had an experience where I wanted to give up
Speaker:
where I thought I can't live this way anymore
Speaker:
this this isn't sustainable
Speaker:
I can't work I can't function
Speaker:
and there isn't meaning no one's teaching me tools
Speaker:
how to manage this experience
Speaker:
the medication works sometimes
Speaker:
and it doesn't work other times
Speaker:
and so I decided I was going to end my life
Speaker:
and I took all of the medicine in my medicine cabinet
Speaker:
and I went to sleep and before I went to sleep
Speaker:
I set the intention and I was raised Catholic
Speaker:
so suicide is a sin in the Catholic Church
Speaker:
however I have a
Speaker:
a deep connection to what I call god
Speaker:
and so I said I'm really sorry for what I'm about to do
Speaker:
but I cannot handle being here on earth anymore
Speaker:
I need to come home and that night
Speaker:
I had a dream
Speaker:
I had a dream that I stood before god and the angels
Speaker:
and they said to me um
Speaker:
it is not your time
Speaker:
there is something really important
Speaker:
that you came to earth to do
Speaker:
and we know that you're struggling
Speaker:
but we have been guiding you to remember how to heal
Speaker:
so that you can help others
Speaker:
and if you go back
Speaker:
we will continue to guide you towards healing
Speaker:
and integration and wholeness
Speaker:
so that you can remember the divine within
Speaker:
and they gave me the choice
Speaker:
they said you can come home tonight
Speaker:
or you can go back and I apparently chose to come back
Speaker:
because I woke up in the morning and um
Speaker:
decided I needed to change my life
Speaker:
that I needed to stop pretending
Speaker:
that there wasn't meaning in these experiences
Speaker:
and instead I needed to seek the meaning
Speaker:
so I started studying shamanism and reiki
Speaker:
and Buddhism and Hinduism and um
Speaker:
energy healing and
Speaker:
and I started to develop belief systems and frameworks
Speaker:
that made my experiences make sense
Speaker:
and then I became a licensed therapist
Speaker:
and studied depth psychology
Speaker:
and understood the impact of trauma
Speaker:
and what I began to recognize is
Speaker:
I was having post traumatic stress flashbacks
Speaker:
where the young parts of myself
Speaker:
my inner children
Speaker:
that had experienced the trauma were merging with
Speaker:
with me and I was experiencing the world
Speaker:
through those neural pathways
Speaker:
and at the same time
Speaker:
I was connecting to mystical experiences
Speaker:
where my mediumship abilities
Speaker:
my psychic abilities and my um
Speaker:
deep connection to the spirit world
Speaker:
were being revealed to me
Speaker:
so that I could remember the truth of what we all are
Speaker:
but they were intermixed
Speaker:
and so that's why I was disoriented
Speaker:
it was because my trauma
Speaker:
and my mystical experiences were merging
Speaker:
and I didn't have the ability at the time to discern
Speaker:
but as I studied shamanism
Speaker:
as I studied Reiki as I studied psychology
Speaker:
as I studied Buddhism
Speaker:
and mindfulness and meditation and yoga
Speaker:
I develop the tools
Speaker:
and all of a sudden
Speaker:
these experiences that had been scary and overwhelming
Speaker:
and began to no longer have that effect on me
Speaker:
and instead I was able to always recognize
Speaker:
oh my god
Speaker:
that's my inner child or
Speaker:
that's my inner critic or
Speaker:
that's my guide Yeshua
Speaker:
or that's my guide Mary
Speaker:
and I was able to kind of begin to take a deep
Speaker:
separation and I call that the inner compass
Speaker:
it's the aspect of us that is whole and complete
Speaker:
and divine and can never be harmed
Speaker:
and is pure consciousness
Speaker:
it doesn't have an identity
Speaker:
it doesn't have an ego it just exists as peace and love
Speaker:
and it is the natural caretaker of our humanness
Speaker:
of these parts of ourselves that have our gifts
Speaker:
and our talents and our belief systems and our wounds
Speaker:
and the job of the inner compass
Speaker:
is to listen to all of those other parts of ourselves
Speaker:
and navigate how to show up as a divine human being
Speaker:
honoring the diverse ways that we express ourselves
Speaker:
right that there isn't
Speaker:
that it's better to be divine than it is to be human
Speaker:
it's that we're meant to be both
Speaker:
that we're we're meant to embody um
Speaker:
that uniqueness
Speaker:
because that is the beauty of the divine
Speaker:
is it takes many forms it
Speaker:
it is all of existence and um
Speaker:
we come here specifically to forget that truth
Speaker:
you know
Speaker:
where we feel so much love and it's like
Speaker:
oh my gosh what
Speaker:
what is this happening you know
Speaker:
it was hard to to even put into words
Speaker:
we often do forget about the physical body
Speaker:
the physical reality those parts of ourselves
Speaker:
the importance of being here
Speaker:
I I feel like saying playing the game
Speaker:
like being in the role you know
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
we're playing a part we're playing a role
Speaker:
and it can be very disorganizing
Speaker:
if we don't recognize all aspects of our truth
Speaker:
our reality and how to merge and integrate um
Speaker:
with the body and with spirituality
Speaker:
that's right
Speaker:
yeah yeah
Speaker:
your healing your embodiment
Speaker:
how have those moments assisted you
Speaker:
well it's really interesting
Speaker:
that you bring up the idea of different paths
Speaker:
I mean that's one of the things I explore in my book
Speaker:
is everybody has their own need of what path to follow
Speaker:
some might need a strictly spiritual path
Speaker:
some might need a strictly scientific path
Speaker:
some might need a strictly psychological path
Speaker:
that we're all at different places
Speaker:
on our healing journey
Speaker:
but eventually they all lead home
Speaker:
which is the integration of
Speaker:
of all of them
Speaker:
it is the ability to have a deeply personal
Speaker:
spiritual practice which I
Speaker:
I promise in my book
Speaker:
begins with the practice of mindfulness
Speaker:
the ability to go inward and listen and be still
Speaker:
with the ability to reparent ourselves right
Speaker:
that's the psychological piece
Speaker:
like how do we
Speaker:
how do we love the parts of ourselves
Speaker:
that cause us harm right
Speaker:
that that engage in the world through protective means
Speaker:
that not
Speaker:
they're not always helpful
Speaker:
right and
Speaker:
and from a biological perspective
Speaker:
the body is its own entity
Speaker:
that requires these other tools
Speaker:
to be fully functioning
Speaker:
that the brain and the nervous system
Speaker:
will not learn to be in that state of peace
Speaker:
or that state of compassion
Speaker:
if we are not practicing mindfulness and self love
Speaker:
so eventually
Speaker:
I think all paths lead to an integrative path where
Speaker:
we're pulling these different traditions
Speaker:
whether it be a science tradition
Speaker:
or a spiritual tradition or psychological perspective
Speaker:
to um
Speaker:
return to that wholeness
Speaker:
and I call this process the hero's journey right
Speaker:
that we're all heroes on this journey of remembering
Speaker:
and the process of facing
Speaker:
the shadow aspects of ourselves
Speaker:
the darkness within us and accepting
Speaker:
oh wow
Speaker:
I am capable of causing harm
Speaker:
and I didn't realize that this people pleasing
Speaker:
and this caretaking actually takes away the agency
Speaker:
of the other person I'm engaging with
Speaker:
and that means I'm causing them harm
Speaker:
even though it comes from a place of love
Speaker:
and Protection where I wanna keep them safe
Speaker:
I'm actually harming them
Speaker:
because I'm making them feel like they're not capable
Speaker:
right
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
Ja Ja ja
Speaker:
yeah wow
Speaker:
throughout the process of receiving the diagnosis
Speaker:
and then going on your hero's journey
Speaker:
you've explained a little bit
Speaker:
about the importance of following our inner compass
Speaker:
can you talk about some of these discoveries and like
Speaker:
a overall view of this new way of thinking
Speaker:
or proceeding
Speaker:
how you're integrating all these different traditions
Speaker:
with your therapeutic background
Speaker:
if you could just share a little I'm very fascinated
Speaker:
well the first thing I'm hearing is
Speaker:
spirit wants me to acknowledge that um
Speaker:
I have stepped into a role
Speaker:
with my direct connection to source
Speaker:
so I'm I have set the intention
Speaker:
that I want to embody source in the human experience
Speaker:
and that I want to be as Yeshua was
Speaker:
that I I
Speaker:
I want to be a pure vessel of that love and and
Speaker:
and so I have a regular practice
Speaker:
where I work with myself on a daily basis
Speaker:
to embody that truth
Speaker:
and to work with the parts of myself that um
Speaker:
could be confused by the potential power
Speaker:
that could come from that type of connection
Speaker:
to really stay in that humility
Speaker:
right and
Speaker:
and so I am very intentional when I sit with others
Speaker:
to channel
Speaker:
source and and to be that vessel
Speaker:
to help them feel that within themselves
Speaker:
so that is the first intention
Speaker:
that I set with every client
Speaker:
regardless of their belief system
Speaker:
is I'm just going to hold that presence
Speaker:
and be that love
Speaker:
that they may never have experienced in their life
Speaker:
or that they may have forgotten
Speaker:
that they were connected to
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
or their higher self to guide me in guiding them
Speaker:
so I listen for questions
Speaker:
or interventions that would be helpful
Speaker:
and so I hear
Speaker:
I hear like
Speaker:
it doesn't really feel like hearing
Speaker:
it feels like I just am speaking from their oversoul
Speaker:
that their oversoul merges with me
Speaker:
and all of a sudden I'm asking them questions
Speaker:
and they're starting to have experiences and
Speaker:
yeah ha ha ha
Speaker:
right yes
Speaker:
at some point is
Speaker:
they start feeling their direct connection
Speaker:
to their oversoul and their team
Speaker:
and so they start seeing their inner child
Speaker:
they start seeing their inner critic
Speaker:
they start seeing their higher self
Speaker:
or feeling that love and connection
Speaker:
they start seeing the spirit team that's there
Speaker:
and rather than me telling them what I see
Speaker:
which is a perfectly valid way of being a channel
Speaker:
and I think it's needed for some people
Speaker:
on their journey
Speaker:
I have made the decision that I don't want to be
Speaker:
I don't want them to become reliant on me
Speaker:
uh huh
Speaker:
so
Speaker:
they intuitively begin to develop their psychic gifts
Speaker:
they they begin to hear and see and feel and sense
Speaker:
and they begin to get direct messages from their team
Speaker:
this is important for you to learn shielding
Speaker:
or it is important for you to learn how to ground
Speaker:
or
Speaker:
it is important for you to release this belief system
Speaker:
or it is important for you to reparent
Speaker:
this younger part of yourself
Speaker:
or this soul fragment is stuck in this other lifetime
Speaker:
and
Speaker:
we think it would be helpful for you to bring it home
Speaker:
so I become a facilitator
Speaker:
a conduit that um
Speaker:
I didn't understand what I was doing for many years
Speaker:
in fact I remember one time I was channeling
Speaker:
and I had the thought I am channeling god
Speaker:
and then I had the thought
Speaker:
that's not possible there's no way to channel god
Speaker:
that's too high a frequency
Speaker:
and there became this like
Speaker:
conflict within myself of like haha
Speaker:
you know is it possible to have a direct um
Speaker:
you know a direct line to source
Speaker:
and you know
Speaker:
through working with you
Speaker:
and working through my other mentors
Speaker:
Robin Benelli and Colleen Benelli
Speaker:
I have come to see that
Speaker:
it isn't unrealistic
Speaker:
that others have seen that I have a direct connection
Speaker:
and and that it's safe to say
Speaker:
anyone can have that direct connection
Speaker:
you just have to set the intention
Speaker:
for that direct connection
Speaker:
and you have to practice connecting
Speaker:
and so
Speaker:
my book is really an entry level way of connecting in
Speaker:
but it's step by step with basic mindfulness
Speaker:
uh huh
Speaker:
I don't want people to experience the overwhelm
Speaker:
that I experienced you know
Speaker:
I I want
Speaker:
if I can prevent people from going haha
Speaker:
right
Speaker:
I'd like to prevent them from going through
Speaker:
you know spiritual psychosis and
Speaker:
and so I've tried to structure my book in a way that is
Speaker:
like rudimentary mindfulness
Speaker:
and then eventually we get to meeting your higher self
Speaker:
meeting your spirit team meeting source
Speaker:
I really love your structure and how you hold the space
Speaker:
and I had a session with you that was so beautiful
Speaker:
and it's very it was very special
Speaker:
it was very unique because of your blend of background
Speaker:
and so yeah
Speaker:
I felt like not only did I experience the therapist
Speaker:
like
Speaker:
the training and the way that you were holding space
Speaker:
but to that in a more spiritual
Speaker:
expansive way
Speaker:
the way you were connecting in with spirit
Speaker:
holding that space channeling the divine and asking
Speaker:
you know really reflecting to me these questions
Speaker:
that had me going deeper I felt like I was already like
Speaker:
on the precipice I knew I could feel the next step
Speaker:
but the specifics and the particular questioning
Speaker:
that's kind of what was missing
Speaker:
I'm glad that you felt that way hahaha
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
just like when we got on today
Speaker:
I can feel this
Speaker:
I want to call it like the entourage of light
Speaker:
like a source but all the angels
Speaker:
all the guides ascended masters coming through
Speaker:
and one other thing about energy work
Speaker:
and therapy in general
Speaker:
is the importance of being heard
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
when uh
Speaker:
you would ask me questions
Speaker:
and then it's like I would hear myself speaking it
Speaker:
so there was the witness of me
Speaker:
the witness of you the reflection back
Speaker:
and it was really a beautiful experience
Speaker:
that helped me to ground it
Speaker:
and the vocalization to bring it into this reality
Speaker:
but then all of my being feel it and hear it
Speaker:
you've mentioned some of your trainings in shamanism
Speaker:
some of your trainings in shamanism and and Reiki
Speaker:
and
Speaker:
what's your perspective
Speaker:
and how do you blend Reiki with the work that you do
Speaker:
how would you define that
Speaker:
yeah that's a really good question
Speaker:
and um
Speaker:
I'm trained in internal family systems theory
Speaker:
which I think Richard Schwarz was essentially
Speaker:
tapping into shamanistic techniques
Speaker:
and energy work because the
Speaker:
the you essentially
Speaker:
when you're working with parts
Speaker:
you use the elements to help them unburden
Speaker:
right
Speaker:
so I merge internal family systems therapy with Reiki
Speaker:
where I am facilitating Reiki by channeling Reiki
Speaker:
or channeling the ascended Masters
Speaker:
or channeling the archangels
Speaker:
so that the clients can sense that energy
Speaker:
but I don't always say that that's what I'm doing
Speaker:
because not all clients believe in energy work
Speaker:
so I use the framework of internal family systems
Speaker:
to help them identify the part of themselves
Speaker:
that is holding the energy that is stuck
Speaker:
or the energy that is denser
Speaker:
and they can see it usually as like
Speaker:
a cloud or they might have an image of um
Speaker:
a monster or
Speaker:
they might have the image of
Speaker:
something that represents the wound
Speaker:
and then I will ask them to ask the energy
Speaker:
do you want to use air water
Speaker:
earth fire or light to unburden it
Speaker:
so I then ask Reiki or the Ascended Masters
Speaker:
or the archangels
Speaker:
to clear it with whatever element they're using
Speaker:
and then the client is just setting the intention
Speaker:
I wanna use fire or I wanna use light
Speaker:
and they can see the energy Pixilate
Speaker:
and they can see it return to source
Speaker:
but they don't always have the understanding
Speaker:
or the belief system that
Speaker:
that's what's happening
Speaker:
but I know that's what's happening
Speaker:
and so that's one of the things
Speaker:
that was really important to me with this work is
Speaker:
not everybody shares a belief system in energy healing
Speaker:
and not everybody shares a belief system
Speaker:
in the spirit world so
Speaker:
how do we help those
Speaker:
that don't want to experience those truths
Speaker:
still experience the benefit of that way of working
Speaker:
and so
Speaker:
this is one of the ways that I have found to do that
Speaker:
is by merging psychology and depth psychology
Speaker:
they call it active imagination
Speaker:
where you can talk to the archetypes right
Speaker:
so my clients I've worked with atheists
Speaker:
and I will ask them you know
Speaker:
what are you sensing around you
Speaker:
and they'll say well
Speaker:
something calling itself Archangel Michael is here
Speaker:
and I'll say oh
Speaker:
that's an architect that's an architect of strength
Speaker:
and it's an architect and
Speaker:
and I'll stay within their belief system
Speaker:
but they're literally tapping into what I call
Speaker:
the divine within which is the spirit world
Speaker:
and I explore that in my book how
Speaker:
you know there's many belief systems out there
Speaker:
and it doesn't matter which framework you use
Speaker:
or what you believe what's
Speaker:
what matters to me is do you find it helpful
Speaker:
like is it helpful when you tap into this
Speaker:
and how does your body feel
Speaker:
and how does your your essence feel
Speaker:
and if if you feel lighter and you feel more connected
Speaker:
to yourself then keep experimenting with it
Speaker:
and call it whatever you wanna call it
Speaker:
you know
Speaker:
and you you brought up a couple of things here
Speaker:
that leads me to the question about um
Speaker:
the trauma informed Reiki practice
Speaker:
and what does that mean to you
Speaker:
can you explain um
Speaker:
some of the signs of a trauma response or
Speaker:
yeah it's a really good question
Speaker:
because I think my teachers
Speaker:
originally at the psychic school
Speaker:
were not trauma informed so
Speaker:
they just assumed that I knew about my trauma history
Speaker:
I may assumed that I was going to the psychic school
Speaker:
cause I was ready to release that
Speaker:
but my unconscious had suppressed those memories so far
Speaker:
that I had no context so when they started telling me
Speaker:
well you have a family member who is literally attached
Speaker:
energetically to your abdomen
Speaker:
controlling you
Speaker:
I just was filled with fear because I was like
Speaker:
how can that be and I didn't
Speaker:
and then it the trauma just surfaced
Speaker:
so I think it's important for us as
Speaker:
as energy workers to understand
Speaker:
that when we are sensing something in a client
Speaker:
they might not yet have awareness of that
Speaker:
and what might happen if we clear it or we remove it
Speaker:
is it may surface
Speaker:
and they may begin having access to the memories
Speaker:
or the unconscious belief systems
Speaker:
or the body sensations so
Speaker:
you can recognize that
Speaker:
when you're sitting with a client
Speaker:
because they'll start to have an emotional release
Speaker:
or you might feel their body tense
Speaker:
or you might notice
Speaker:
that they start raising their shoulder
Speaker:
or they start getting defensive
Speaker:
or they start acting younger
Speaker:
or different than they were
Speaker:
and this is all an indication that a
Speaker:
neuro pathway has been triggered
Speaker:
from a younger experience
Speaker:
that was more traumatic in nature
Speaker:
now most people that seek energy work
Speaker:
have usually done enough of their own work
Speaker:
that they can handle energy work
Speaker:
or they have enough of a belief system in energy work
Speaker:
that they can be with what comes up
Speaker:
but
Speaker:
I think it is still important for us to consider that
Speaker:
a lot can surface
Speaker:
when we start removing and clearing dense energy
Speaker:
and I have even found with clients
Speaker:
that sometimes the dense energy comes back
Speaker:
because the system is so uncomfortable with the change
Speaker:
that they don't feel safe anymore
Speaker:
and it brings up a whole level of like
Speaker:
discomfort and so they call the wounds back
Speaker:
and so I I think it is also important for us to
Speaker:
you know I don't know
Speaker:
not all of us can be trained in every modality
Speaker:
but at least
Speaker:
have a basic understanding of psychological theories
Speaker:
and neuroscience to understand what might be happening
Speaker:
in the people that we're working with
Speaker:
you know and
Speaker:
I do hope to eventually
Speaker:
train healers in working in a more integrative way
Speaker:
like I do so that they can have at least
Speaker:
that framework of understanding
Speaker:
no I
Speaker:
I think that there's value
Speaker:
and need for pure energy work
Speaker:
just like there's value and need for pure
Speaker:
psychological work um
Speaker:
but
Speaker:
I really think we're heading towards a time in society
Speaker:
where we need to be merging
Speaker:
instead of separating out science and spirituality
Speaker:
we need to start bringing them together
Speaker:
because they really do support each other
Speaker:
and I I explore this in my book is
Speaker:
we are pre
Speaker:
biologically predisposed to have mystical experience
Speaker:
that that is what the neuroscience is showing
Speaker:
is that the brain is literally
Speaker:
structured to have these experiences
Speaker:
and the science cannot yet show
Speaker:
whether or not we are creating it or perceiving it
Speaker:
OK yes
Speaker:
and that is the profound question right
Speaker:
and what if it's both
Speaker:
what if it is both perceiving it and creating it right
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
the the guidance
Speaker:
yes all
Speaker:
do you have any advice for Reiki practitioners
Speaker:
that might have a client in person
Speaker:
and you kind of describe
Speaker:
like how their body would shift and feel
Speaker:
what advice do you have for them
Speaker:
and how to best support a client
Speaker:
that is going through an experience
Speaker:
where trauma is releasing
Speaker:
I think it is important for us to recognize
Speaker:
that they might need additional support
Speaker:
so if we are sensing something
Speaker:
you know in our psychic senses
Speaker:
that may indicate that trauma was there
Speaker:
or if we're seeing some sort of body response
Speaker:
or emotional response that is
Speaker:
you know it's normal to have releases
Speaker:
but if it feels intense we should recommend
Speaker:
that they seek out additional support um
Speaker:
because we're sensing that there's a lot
Speaker:
that's going to be clearing in the next two
Speaker:
to however long we're sensing it might take to clear
Speaker:
so that they can have that support system
Speaker:
and then I think as reiki practitioners
Speaker:
we understand inner child work
Speaker:
right we understand shadow work a little bit
Speaker:
we understand soul retrieval
Speaker:
right so if we can remember that um
Speaker:
healing
Speaker:
isn't just about what happens on the energetic level
Speaker:
it's also about what happens internally
Speaker:
that we need to give ourselves what we never had
Speaker:
so you can clear something energetically
Speaker:
but if you don't start loving yourself
Speaker:
in the way that you weren't loved
Speaker:
the wound doesn't ever fully heal
Speaker:
right from a biological perspective right
Speaker:
the the
Speaker:
the brain the nervous system won't fully heal
Speaker:
unless those new neural pathways get created
Speaker:
and the nervous system learns to stay regulated
Speaker:
so as reiki practitioners
Speaker:
we can invite in that type of practice
Speaker:
by reminding the client to nourish themselves
Speaker:
to do energy clearing daily
Speaker:
to do self care practices that are self loving
Speaker:
such as yoga or listening to music
Speaker:
or moving
Speaker:
or creating art by speaking lovingly to ourselves
Speaker:
and so
Speaker:
these are things that are within our scope of practice
Speaker:
as energy workers right
Speaker:
we we're kind of like coaches in a way and
Speaker:
and so we could say
Speaker:
beautiful yes yes
Speaker:
the aftercare is so important
Speaker:
and it is a benefit to being um
Speaker:
connected to spirit
Speaker:
yeah yeah
Speaker:
appropriate and really supportive to say OK
Speaker:
I feel like this other form of therapy
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
I think this message is coming in
Speaker:
for new Reiki practitioners
Speaker:
that might feel a sense of responsibility
Speaker:
or pressure of having like
Speaker:
a perfect session you know
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
to say that's not how it works
Speaker:
you know we don't want to skip to the end
Speaker:
let it is all about the experience and
Speaker:
and being present and being and feeling
Speaker:
and so there is the integration period
Speaker:
um there can be many weeks or months
Speaker:
and when your clients come to you
Speaker:
it's an honor to be in that space to support them
Speaker:
and hold the space and reflect back the experience
Speaker:
and then also to share okay hahaha
Speaker:
from what I'm sensing
Speaker:
you could consider this other form of aftercare
Speaker:
Ja
Speaker:
in the healing process so yes
Speaker:
I think you know you
Speaker:
you have a lot that um
Speaker:
you share with the world
Speaker:
and with the launch of your book
Speaker:
and also we'll get into a couple other things
Speaker:
but I I really do feel when the time presents itself
Speaker:
that training
Speaker:
to blend your different therapeutic approaches
Speaker:
yeah yeah
Speaker:
I was like oh yeah
Speaker:
hahaha that feels really good that feels really good
Speaker:
beautiful point right
Speaker:
that healing isn't um it isn't linear
Speaker:
right
Speaker:
and it isn't
Speaker:
there isn't a destination
Speaker:
uh huh
Speaker:
that it is an ongoing process that takes a lifetime
Speaker:
or multiple lifetimes depending on your belief system
Speaker:
right and so I think it is really important for us
Speaker:
as practitioners to have that awareness of
Speaker:
it isn't my job to save this person
Speaker:
or solve this problem for them
Speaker:
it's to connect them to the information
Speaker:
so that they can continue their journey of healing
Speaker:
and integration right
Speaker:
we're facilitators we
Speaker:
we are doing the healing for sure
Speaker:
because we're manipulating the energy and
Speaker:
and helping
Speaker:
but if the client doesn't pick up the mantle
Speaker:
right
Speaker:
if they don't then say
Speaker:
I'm gonna integrate this and heal it
Speaker:
nothing changes you know my
Speaker:
I'm a perfect example of that
Speaker:
the first five or six years of my healing journey um
Speaker:
I couldn't put into practice
Speaker:
you know when I wasn't putting into practice
Speaker:
what I was talking about
Speaker:
in therapy or
Speaker:
or even the spiritual people that I did see
Speaker:
at that time I I
Speaker:
I couldn't integrate it so nothing was changing
Speaker:
what helped you move through that how
Speaker:
it was
Speaker:
the conscious realization of the patterns within me
Speaker:
it was the connection to um
Speaker:
the energy and the belief system
Speaker:
right it was OK
Speaker:
that energy just left
Speaker:
and the belief system underneath it was I was unlovable
Speaker:
hmm
Speaker:
and the behavior that
Speaker:
that happens in response to feeling unlovable
Speaker:
is prioritizing others before myself
Speaker:
and trying to save the world right
Speaker:
do I still believe that I'm here to help save humanity
Speaker:
I do I'm one of many people here
Speaker:
that have set forth with that mission
Speaker:
to help humanity evolve
Speaker:
so that we can create peace on earth
Speaker:
I I still know that that's a truth
Speaker:
but I no longer believe it's my job alone
Speaker:
right and so I'm no longer engaging in toxic self
Speaker:
like helping others in a toxic way
Speaker:
I'm recognizing I gotta be in a healthy space
Speaker:
if I'm gonna show up for others
Speaker:
you know and so
Speaker:
oh man that's a big burden to bear
Speaker:
I know and
Speaker:
and that was the belief system
Speaker:
you know when
Speaker:
when Yeshua shared with me Yeshua's life
Speaker:
you know that was what came up in me
Speaker:
is I'm here to finish what Yeshua started right
Speaker:
I'm I'm here to pick up the mantle where he left off
Speaker:
and I'm here to start doing what he did
Speaker:
and I felt solely responsible for that
Speaker:
because I didn't have community yet
Speaker:
I didn't know that there were other people out there
Speaker:
doing what I was doing
Speaker:
and believing what I was believing
Speaker:
so I literally thought and this was the delusion right
Speaker:
this is this is how
Speaker:
how it becomes unhealthy is I thought oh
Speaker:
I have to save humanity
Speaker:
and when you have that deep
Speaker:
mystical experience
Speaker:
without a framework and an other to talk it through
Speaker:
and an other
Speaker:
who has seen similar experiences in people
Speaker:
that's right
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
I guess if you work through the confusion
Speaker:
because then you have the belief
Speaker:
but then it's like whoa
Speaker:
hold on that's a lot of pressure
Speaker:
a lot of responsibility
Speaker:
and that's what it felt like right
Speaker:
I mean I remember having meditations
Speaker:
where I was hearing people's prayers
Speaker:
and I was merged with source
Speaker:
and so I was hearing people's prayers
Speaker:
come in and I was merged with source
Speaker:
so I was part of the process
Speaker:
of sending the energy out to them
Speaker:
so that they their prayers would be granted
Speaker:
but I remember being I can't be responsible for that
Speaker:
why am I seeing this I can't be god
Speaker:
like that's too much pressure for one being to be
Speaker:
and then finally
Speaker:
source showed me that it isn't one being
Speaker:
it's one energy and there are literally
Speaker:
light beams coming from that one energy
Speaker:
that fragment out to everything in existence
Speaker:
so everything has a direct conduit to source
Speaker:
so we're essentially granting our own prayers
Speaker:
oh I love
Speaker:
I love hahaha
Speaker:
wow I love that realization
Speaker:
yeah that perspective
Speaker:
I feel that so
Speaker:
so
Speaker:
then it was that you were within that energetic field
Speaker:
you were within that energy
Speaker:
and you were experiencing the conversations
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
yeah yeah
Speaker:
and it was profound I mean
Speaker:
this is part of the reason
Speaker:
why I feel so passionate about this book
Speaker:
and why I wanted to put this information out there
Speaker:
is because
Speaker:
spirit has shown me how interconnected we all are
Speaker:
and how we cannot exist without one another
Speaker:
and that we literally create together that
Speaker:
that we are literally creating all of existence
Speaker:
by the individual belief systems
Speaker:
and choices that we make
Speaker:
that it ripples out
Speaker:
and that's why I called the book Healing Ourselves
Speaker:
to heal the world
Speaker:
because if you're creating from a wound
Speaker:
you're creating hell for yourself or others right
Speaker:
and nobody wants to experience hell
Speaker:
right
Speaker:
it's not a literal place that you go to to be punished
Speaker:
it's a state of consciousness
Speaker:
uh huh
Speaker:
right
Speaker:
it's a miserable place to be
Speaker:
very lonely
Speaker:
yeah so
Speaker:
as you were sharing that
Speaker:
and speaking about how there's a connection to source
Speaker:
and all being one
Speaker:
I was just feeling the overwhelm of compassion
Speaker:
and I too have had visions in the past um
Speaker:
you know when my team speaks to me
Speaker:
then they'll put a vision with it
Speaker:
of people that are lonely
Speaker:
or struggling or feel alone
Speaker:
and holding a place even within the prayer space
Speaker:
within meditation for them
Speaker:
letting them know they're not alone and
Speaker:
that's right
Speaker:
that's right
Speaker:
that's right
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
yeah yeah
Speaker:
to feel that and so prayers are so powerful um
Speaker:
and at the same time
Speaker:
they're very intermingled with religion
Speaker:
yeah yeah
Speaker:
I know in my religion where I was brought up
Speaker:
yeah yeah
Speaker:
it's uncomfortable to me because I
Speaker:
I sense within some of these prayers
Speaker:
by whoever is speaking them
Speaker:
not always
Speaker:
yeah yeah
Speaker:
there's not the connection
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
it's a mental space intention that I'm doing quote
Speaker:
what's right but like
Speaker:
the heart isn't fully in it or if
Speaker:
it is it's so scripted
Speaker:
that it feels like that connection is governed
Speaker:
and gate kept
Speaker:
and it's like putting a cap or a filter over
Speaker:
the truest connection to source
Speaker:
yeah yeah
Speaker:
did you have anything when it came to
Speaker:
I I don't even know the word healing
Speaker:
integrating just like
Speaker:
with these spiritual practices
Speaker:
that are so intermingled with a structured religion
Speaker:
and then coming into meeting
Speaker:
you know the divine within and the god
Speaker:
um source
Speaker:
consciousness and having your own mystical experience
Speaker:
yeah in fact
Speaker:
I've had several mystical experiences around this theme
Speaker:
that I've had to work through
Speaker:
so when I first awakened to the energy
Speaker:
I was walking around Chicago
Speaker:
and people were coming up to me
Speaker:
and they were asking me spiritual questions
Speaker:
about how to embody the divine
Speaker:
like they were asking me questions
Speaker:
like I was already a master teacher
Speaker:
and I was like
Speaker:
looking at them like
Speaker:
I have no idea why you're talking to me like this
Speaker:
like this is freaking me out
Speaker:
and then at one point I was in treatment
Speaker:
and I walked up to a group of people
Speaker:
and they said we were just discussing you
Speaker:
we were trying to figure out
Speaker:
what religion you're going to create in this lifetime
Speaker:
and I was filled with fear
Speaker:
because I have studied religion
Speaker:
and I have seen how religions justify oppression
Speaker:
genocide and harm
Speaker:
and I did not want to participate in that
Speaker:
and so
Speaker:
part of my dark night of the soul was rejecting god
Speaker:
because I was taught that god punishes
Speaker:
I was taught that god judges
Speaker:
I was taught that there are good human beings
Speaker:
and bad human beings
Speaker:
right which was so different from my lived experience
Speaker:
which told me everything is loved unconditionally
Speaker:
because everything is made in the image of source
Speaker:
everything is source nothing is separate from source
Speaker:
everything is source
Speaker:
it's just in the form it's taken to understand itself
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
and so I had to heal and develop my own practice
Speaker:
right so do I still sometimes do my Catholic prayers
Speaker:
yes but only because
Speaker:
I have now studied the original Aramaic
Speaker:
and the original Aramaic
Speaker:
is very different than the Christian interpretation and
Speaker:
and translation it's actually a false translation
Speaker:
right the
Speaker:
the Lord's Prayer says our father
Speaker:
who art in heaven the original text says
Speaker:
o birther of all creation
Speaker:
oh and see when you say the original transcript
Speaker:
like the yeah
Speaker:
meaning I just got chills through my whole body
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
it's not the same it's not the same
Speaker:
and so for me I had to really work through that
Speaker:
that was part of my healing journey
Speaker:
is I had to come to a place where I recognize that um
Speaker:
there are wounds in spiritual traditions
Speaker:
and I talk about this in my book
Speaker:
that we as followers or seeker of the divine
Speaker:
have got to develop discernment
Speaker:
and anytime you like there is
Speaker:
right
Speaker:
right
Speaker:
uh huh
Speaker:
uh huh
Speaker:
yes yes
Speaker:
uh huh
Speaker:
everything should be questioned
Speaker:
including your connection to source
Speaker:
and that's is that the section on the inner compass
Speaker:
it is
Speaker:
partially through the section on the inner compass
Speaker:
yeah yeah
Speaker:
yeah yeah
Speaker:
cause your book is so well laid out
Speaker:
what would readers discover and how can it support them
Speaker:
what type of reader which is your book best suited for
Speaker:
is your book best suited for
Speaker:
well I
Speaker:
I tried to write towards a general audience
Speaker:
so it would be accessible to all belief systems
Speaker:
and the framework of the book is The Hero's Journey
Speaker:
and part one of the Hero's Journey is initiation
Speaker:
so it is introducing you to new ideas
Speaker:
that are outside your current belief system
Speaker:
so part 1
Speaker:
is structured to introduce you to the commonalities
Speaker:
in several world religions
Speaker:
and spiritual practices so that you can see that
Speaker:
there are many paths to the inner compass
Speaker:
you have to find the one that's right for you
Speaker:
and here's what the commonalities are
Speaker:
and then I break down psycho psychology
Speaker:
and what the commonalities are within psychology
Speaker:
through several healing modalities
Speaker:
and I argue again
Speaker:
the importance is developing self awareness
Speaker:
through mindfulness
Speaker:
to be able to recognize the parts of yourself
Speaker:
that hold wounds so that you can heal them
Speaker:
and I call those roadblocks
Speaker:
so part one is designed to just give you the framework
Speaker:
of what the inner compass is
Speaker:
what roadblocks are and what the collective divine is
Speaker:
through the exploration of spirituality
Speaker:
neuroscience and psychology
Speaker:
with the final chapter being the focus on meta
Speaker:
or the practice of loving kindness
Speaker:
as the key to embodying the inner compass
Speaker:
so what happens when you practice loving kindness
Speaker:
is the frontal lobe
Speaker:
which is responsible for emotion regulation empathy
Speaker:
compassion
Speaker:
adult perspective and collaboration lights up
Speaker:
and the amygdala which is responsible for the fight
Speaker:
flight freeze
Speaker:
fawn response shrinks
Speaker:
and the ability in trauma or stress
Speaker:
for the frontal lobe to interrupt the amygdala
Speaker:
increases the more you engage in loving kindness
Speaker:
so I argue even though this is your innate ability
Speaker:
if you practice this on a regular basis
Speaker:
humanity would evolve like we
Speaker:
we would evolve as a as a species if we
Speaker:
if we prioritize this way of being
Speaker:
then part 2 is focused on identifying roadblocks
Speaker:
so I explore through psychological theories
Speaker:
Maslow's hierarchy of needs and developmental um
Speaker:
how the brain develops from childhood
Speaker:
what the innate traits are of the inner compass
Speaker:
and how those are innate in you in childhood
Speaker:
but the experiences you have
Speaker:
lead you to either embrace them or separate from them
Speaker:
and that's how your wounds form
Speaker:
and it helps you to
Speaker:
to begin to connect to those parts of yourself
Speaker:
through some practices of
Speaker:
of witnessing the inner company or witnessing your um
Speaker:
inner child and your inner critic
Speaker:
and getting to know them and reparent them
Speaker:
and then part 3 is focused on the collective divine
Speaker:
so it includes channeled messages
Speaker:
that my clients and I have received
Speaker:
from our work with spirit
Speaker:
it includes some
Speaker:
um exercises
Speaker:
of how to connect directly to your own spirit team
Speaker:
and to source um
Speaker:
and so it's kind of like a
Speaker:
a step by
Speaker:
step guide of getting to a direct connection to source
Speaker:
starting with basic mindfulness
Speaker:
and basic understanding of the concepts
Speaker:
all the way up to
Speaker:
psychic abilities
Speaker:
hahaha
Speaker:
and there we are
Speaker:
and there we are hahaha
Speaker:
so beautiful
Speaker:
and as you're sharing
Speaker:
uh about your book
Speaker:
I am aware
Speaker:
and remember that you also have other resources
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
you have accessible messages through Spotify
Speaker:
meditations and also
Speaker:
I believe it was a YouTube I've seen you on
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
comes with your book
Speaker:
yeah every
Speaker:
so there are 36 meditations
Speaker:
and guided practices in the book
Speaker:
and those are available in recorded messages
Speaker:
where I channel source
Speaker:
so when you listen to the recordings
Speaker:
you are getting an energy healing
Speaker:
because I'm channeling the energy
Speaker:
but you're also building your muscle
Speaker:
to develop the skill of mindfulness
Speaker:
and inner awareness and psychic abilities
Speaker:
so it's kind of like a two fold
Speaker:
benefit if you do the book in its entirety
Speaker:
is it's not really meant to just be read
Speaker:
it's meant to be experiential
Speaker:
so that you actually experience
Speaker:
the concepts in the book
Speaker:
through the practices that are available on YouTube
Speaker:
or Spotify or my websites
Speaker:
and then I have other you know
Speaker:
resources available too there's an online course
Speaker:
that I hope to have live by the end of November
Speaker:
that supplements the book
Speaker:
where people will mentor with me
Speaker:
and there's additional exercises
Speaker:
and additional teachings
Speaker:
but it structures it
Speaker:
I read each chapter of the book while channeling
Speaker:
so you're getting an
Speaker:
even more of an energy healing and connection
Speaker:
because
Speaker:
I'm channeling the entire time I'm reading the book
Speaker:
and then there are additional guided practices
Speaker:
and then there's a mentorship program
Speaker:
where we'll meet once a month
Speaker:
maybe twice a month as a group
Speaker:
and we'll talk about what you're discovering
Speaker:
because I think having community to talk about
Speaker:
you know what you experience
Speaker:
when you tap into mystical experiences
Speaker:
is so important
Speaker:
because it can be so confusing and so disorienting
Speaker:
if you don't have you know
Speaker:
a safe space to explore these ideas
Speaker:
you know and then
Speaker:
I also post other videos
Speaker:
and informational things on social media
Speaker:
and YouTube and
Speaker:
and stuff so
Speaker:
so beautiful I love all the support that
Speaker:
and avenues that you are um
Speaker:
you know making available for others
Speaker:
and I'm just feeling all of this comfort
Speaker:
oh thanks
Speaker:
we've talked a lot about the hero's journey
Speaker:
and your path to healing and awakening
Speaker:
and pulling together like
Speaker:
if you look back on your experiences
Speaker:
and all of the modalities
Speaker:
what supported you and what you feel
Speaker:
you know supports others in session
Speaker:
if you could define healing
Speaker:
that's such a big question hahaha
Speaker:
what where
Speaker:
what are we all like
Speaker:
looking towards you know
Speaker:
and it's when we feel I just feel like
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
yeah I think it's
Speaker:
it's self awareness right
Speaker:
it's like healing happens when we understand ourselves
Speaker:
and we accept all of who we are
Speaker:
and then we love ourselves as we are
Speaker:
and that doesn't mean that we don't try to change
Speaker:
or shift
Speaker:
if we're doing things that cause ourselves harm
Speaker:
but it
Speaker:
it means before you can make a shift in your life
Speaker:
you've got to first acknowledge what you're doing
Speaker:
and you've got to love it
Speaker:
and you've got to see the protective reason behind it
Speaker:
you know
Speaker:
that there is always a protective reason
Speaker:
behind every behavior
Speaker:
including those that cause immense harm
Speaker:
and to be able to have that amount of compassion
Speaker:
right to recognize wow
Speaker:
that behavior is so toxic and so harmful
Speaker:
and it is an indication
Speaker:
that the person is
Speaker:
completely disconnected from who they are
Speaker:
they're in so much pain
Speaker:
that they think
Speaker:
the only way to feel better is to harm someone
Speaker:
uh huh
Speaker:
and so when that comes up in our
Speaker:
in our reality if we're
Speaker:
you know in the healing space and processing that
Speaker:
you mentioned the compassion
Speaker:
and that's what I'm I was
Speaker:
feeling the compassion the love
Speaker:
the forgiveness
Speaker:
and then the accountability to do better
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
uh huh
Speaker:
uh huh
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
I think sometimes we think we have to be selfless
Speaker:
and that isn't actually what he taught
Speaker:
help someone and offer to help them a second time
Speaker:
and if they don't accept it
Speaker:
walk away that's the teaching
Speaker:
hmm
Speaker:
that feels
Speaker:
yeah that feels really good
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
yeah we can't
Speaker:
we're in charge of
Speaker:
that's right
Speaker:
that's right
Speaker:
and seeing it in others
Speaker:
and then feeling it within ourselves
Speaker:
what are some of the most like
Speaker:
profound experiences
Speaker:
or how has that touched you personally in your life
Speaker:
getting through the challenges
Speaker:
my relationships have deepened
Speaker:
so much like I I find such
Speaker:
um deep connection now
Speaker:
you know when conflict arises with someone that I love
Speaker:
we get curious about each other
Speaker:
you know we try to understand
Speaker:
uh huh
Speaker:
yeah
Speaker:
uh huh
Speaker:
uh huh uh huh
Speaker:
well and that's where I feel the love come in
Speaker:
the compassion the reiki
Speaker:
the source energy
Speaker:
and that connection to the divine within
Speaker:
holding that space
Speaker:
wow your book is amazing
Speaker:
it has so much to share and such a like
Speaker:
beautiful pathway
Speaker:
and I love how it connects so many dots
Speaker:
and pulls in so many pieces
Speaker:
while keeping it open to all
Speaker:
like you mentioned all belief systems yes
Speaker:
so if others would like to work with you
Speaker:
what type of offerings do you have and
Speaker:
yeah so my website is Blossoming Heart wellness dot com
Speaker:
um like
Speaker:
like the heart is blossoming open
Speaker:
so that's that's um
Speaker:
the website
Speaker:
and I'm in the process of creating online content
Speaker:
as I'm working towards getting a visa to work in Spain
Speaker:
so I live in Spain I'm from America
Speaker:
but I live in Spain and so
Speaker:
I probably won't be able to see clients one on one
Speaker:
until um
Speaker:
September of 26th
Speaker:
but you can work with me through the online course
Speaker:
and you can sign up for my website
Speaker:
and you can see my online content um
Speaker:
as a starting point but
Speaker:
my one on one work will be
Speaker:
probably more towards September
Speaker:
and I just want to acknowledge that
Speaker:
this book was not written by me
Speaker:
hm
Speaker:
to a vast
Speaker:
open understanding
Speaker:
that was accepting of lots of beliefs
Speaker:
right so I don't feel that I wrote this book
Speaker:
I feel like
Speaker:
this book was channeled
Speaker:
because the world wanted this information
Speaker:
in this way so
Speaker:
I actually have to say
Speaker:
thank you to all of the listeners
Speaker:
for trusting me to gather this information
Speaker:
in a way that I hope
Speaker:
helps you connect to this truth within yourself
Speaker:
I just have the biggest smile on my heart and I just
Speaker:
thank you that feels so beautiful
Speaker:
and I feel like when you're sharing your words
Speaker:
I felt this massive feeling of hope and joy and like
Speaker:
you know the humility and the gratitude
Speaker:
but then it's like this light
Speaker:
and it's like yes
Speaker:
your book is here to support others
Speaker:
where they are to answer a call
Speaker:
that maybe they didn't know they were looking
Speaker:
you know they were
Speaker:
didn't really realize they were calling um for
Speaker:
but when they do feel to connect
Speaker:
and to access your book and the information
Speaker:
then
Speaker:
all of these answers are going to be there for them
Speaker:
and this inspiration and and truly
Speaker:
the answers are really
Speaker:
that's right
Speaker:
oh my goodness
Speaker:
thank you so so much for coming on to the podcast today
Speaker:
and I do want to share
Speaker:
I do believe that by the time this is out
Speaker:
the book will be available
Speaker:
can you share with everybody the release date
Speaker:
and do you have a like
Speaker:
a special platform
Speaker:
where they could go to order the book
Speaker:
so it is available um
Speaker:
for purchase now um
Speaker:
if it's before November 4th
Speaker:
if it's November 4th
Speaker:
that's when it's available to receive haha um
Speaker:
so November 4th, 2025 and um
Speaker:
I think right now it's available on Amazon
Speaker:
Barnes and noble um
Speaker:
I'm currently trying to reach out to local
Speaker:
independent bookstores to get them to carry it
Speaker:
and libraries um
Speaker:
but if you're interested go to your local library
Speaker:
tell them that you really want to read this book
Speaker:
um and
Speaker:
and tell them the name of it
Speaker:
it's the divine within
Speaker:
healing ourselves to heal the world
Speaker:
um I did receive a really good Kirkus review
Speaker:
which is um a the gold standard for um
Speaker:
books and so
Speaker:
I'm hoping that that will help get it out into more um
Speaker:
bookstores um
Speaker:
I know some people um
Speaker:
are trying to avoid shopping at Amazon
Speaker:
and I really wanna honor where people are at
Speaker:
so you also can order the ebook directly from me
Speaker:
on my website so if you're an ebook reader
Speaker:
you can get it directly from me
Speaker:
but if you're wanting a hard copy
Speaker:
you'll either have to go to um
Speaker:
Amazon or Barnes and noble right now
Speaker:
okay beautiful
Speaker:
oh and congrats
Speaker:
I know when you shared that information last week
Speaker:
I was so excited for you so amazing
Speaker:
and big heartfelt thanks for coming on today
Speaker:
and sharing your light with everyone
Speaker:
thank you so much
Speaker:
I'm sending everybody so much love and appreciation
Speaker:
and I just want to remind you
Speaker:
don't rush
Speaker:
it's okay to be exactly where you are
Speaker:
know that you are deeply loved
Speaker:
that you are deeply accepted
Speaker:
and that you are worthy of being who you are
Speaker:
don't be afraid to find your path to healing
Speaker:
it can be scary but it will be well worth it
Speaker:
indeed yes
Speaker:
uh huh and I want to thank everybody
Speaker:
for tuning in to the spirit and Soul Healing podcast
