Welcome back to 10 Minutes to $10K with Kyle Morris!

In episode three, Kyle gets on a call with a facility owner out of Charlotte, North Carolina, a guy who took a big swing on a 10,000 square foot, 9 bay facility right in the heart of the city. Full bar, full kitchen, a brand new golf coach on staff, and six months in the door. By every measure it sounds like an exciting operation.

But Kyle asks one question that changes everything.

Who are you actually serving?

Because here is the thing, an entertainment venue and a player development facility are two completely different businesses. They have different customers, different marketing, different revenue models, and different reasons people walk through the door. And trying to be both at the same time means you end up being neither.

In just 10 minutes, Kyle breaks down exactly what it means to pick a lane, including why the entertainment model lives and dies by food, drinks, and events rather than golf, why player development is the only model that solves the seasonal slump problem, and why if you are competing with outdoor golf in the summer you are playing a game you will never win.

Kyle also shares how he figured this out the hard way, closing the doors of The Golf Room every May and not opening them again until October with a wife, three kids, and no investors backing him up.

If you are running an indoor golf facility and wondering why summer feels like a ghost town, this episode is going to change the way you think about your entire business model.
