Shownotes

In Illinois, the behavioral health workforce can only meet about 24% of the current need. I had a conversation with Janelle Miller Moravek from Youth and Family Counseling on my latest podcast episode of Roaming with Restless Women, and this number really stuck with me. It’s a staggering gap, especially when you consider the rising demand for mental health support.

Janelle shared how her organization is tackling this head-on by creating programs to introduce high school students to careers in behavioral health. It was so encouraging to hear her talk about how the younger generation's openness and passion for wellness could be the key to building a stronger, more resilient mental health workforce for the future.
