Cabal and Barrow anxiously await the opening of the Carnival’s last night. Horst can no longer abide with helping Cabal. Barrow inspects the Carnival and with the help of Horst realises what is happening. There is a confrontation between Cabal and Barrow which leads to uncharacteristic violence on Cabal’s part.
