Welcome back to You Can't Kill the Boogeyman Podcast with your favorite spooky couple, Robby and Sammi! This week, the hosts dive into The Strangers: Chapter 2, the second film in the reboot trilogy, and they do not hold back! Chapter 2 picks up immediately after the first film, following Maya, the sole survivor, as the masked killers (Dollface, Pinup Girl, and Scarecrow) track her to a hospital in Venus, Oregon. Robby and Sammi slam the decision to include flashbacks revealing the Pinup Girl's origin story and the critical consensus agrees, criticizing the film for "over explaining the killer's backstory." Sammi and Robby lament the main character's "dumb decisions" and inability to "shut the f*** up," making her a poor horror heroine.
